About Us

Rishi Chillara founded Bridge the GAPS for Community based on a powerful belief he's held since middle school: that a passionate, dedicated individual can bring people together to create tangible change. As President, he leads the organization's strategic efforts to serve and uplift communities.

His commitment to service extends far beyond his title. At Texas A&M University, where he is a 4.0 GPA Neuroscience major, his leadership is defined by action. He serves as a Student Supervisor for TAMU BUILD, a Council Member for the Student Council of Arts andSciences, a volunteer in the St. Joseph Hospital ER, and a member of the Texas A&M Emergency Care Team (TAMECT).

Rishi's high-impact research work—from labs at TAMU to his award-winning internship at the Houston Methodist Research Institute—stems from the same source as his service: a deep-seated drive to understand problems and build effective, lasting solutions. Building on foundational leadership experiences, such as serving as the Texas State Volunteer Head for the Childhood Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation and as a Literacy Subcommittee Leader for United to Learn, Rishi is dedicated to using his skills to grow BTG's impact and build a more supported, connected, and resilient community for all.
